28.10.2013 08:02 / Interfax

The investment potential of Russia’s capital city will be presented in New York on Monday, according to the Moscow Government Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations.

“The road show agenda features foreign business support in Moscow, raising foreign investment for city infrastructure, redevelopment of hospitals and schools, traffic hubs, production facilities and the energy grid”, said our source.

The event organized by Moscow Government Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations aims to keep the US business up to date with the Moscow Government efforts to improve business climate and attract foreign investment to the city’s economy.

Sergey Cheremin, Head of Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations, is in charge of the Moscow City roadshow in New York.

Last week at the Second Moscow International Investment Forum, Cheremin said that the Russian capital remains the leader in attracting foreign investment, with Moscow accounting for 62% of all foreign investment in Russia.

“We expect a change in the structure if investment. The share of private equity has grown several times and surpassed USD 5bn in the past 6 months”, said Cheremin.
