City Energy Company Plans Electric Car Charging Stations in New Moscow
10.06.2014 12:59 / Interfax
“We have started work on New Moscow, the general project coordinator is Moscow Engineering. We have started installing charging stations. The aim is to have a full implementation plan by the year-end”, Sinyutin told the press Tuesday.
He says a commercial operator must run the charging stations infrastructure.
“Our aim is to out this into practice, make it a business. We need a commercial operator for the charging stations infrastructure. In today’s Europe, slow charge stations are the most common practice: you come home for the night and plug your car in”.
Rosseti First Deputy General Director on Technical Policy Roman Berdnikov said the number of e-cars is steadily growing across continents, and e-cars are becoming cheaper.
“We have studied the trend together with MOESK. E-cars for us is a source of a new growing client base. We still have to win our clients. We will carry on developing this project”, he said.
Berdnikov remarked that e-cars are currently being tested.
“MOESK runs tests on their own fleet of e-cars. They have 28 charging stations and some cars. Before you offer a service to clients, you should test it yourself”, he said.
